Hail, Hail, The Gang’s all Here
By julz2334 | January 22, 2010
…and they’re knitting up a storm! Our first official week at our new digs was a great success! Good food, good friends, nice waitress (adorably named “Pumpkin” by the way), and a lot of great projects!
But first things first-Kelly is having a baby girl!!! Congratulations Kelly, we can’t wait to meet her! Won’t it be fun if all of our little girls become friends and continue our Wednesday night knitting tradition? I can see our daughters now, reading our old blogs and saying “wheewie, I never knew my mom was so dirty!”

Now let us get down to business:
OWL KAL- the pattern has been revised by the designer and there is now a nominal charge for it, but the money goes to help the victims in Haiti– Go Kate Davies! Our KAL (knit-a-long) goal is to have our ribbing done by next week. Members in the KAL are Kat, Wendy, Caroline, Tal, Kelly, and me! All are welcome, the more the merrier!
The planning for the Vermont weekend knitting get-away (May 14th) is well underway and the cost will be about $120.00 per person to rent the house for two nights if there are ten people to split it. Please have your deposit to Heléne by the Wednesday after next. It promises to be a great time filled with laughter, food, friendship, and the all-important: time to knit! There is room for a few more, please join in! Currently going to VT are: Kat, Carolyn, Dee, Heléne, and Cheryl. Maggie is trying to get work coverage, Wendy is a maybe and Darcy is a probably.
I mentioned the terrific attendance earlier in the post but I feel I must add that Cheryl and Kristen were missed! We were talking I mean, thinking about you both!
New Stuff brought out tonight- Darcy’s Zephyrs, Wendy’s Harmony wood’s and a pair of her clicks which she shockingly loaned to Cranky (she must really really really- count that, three really’s, like you.) Heléne’s Knit n’ Style and Talitha’s amazing knitting bag (which I got no deets on but can’t wait to check out!).
New on the needles: Kat’s gigantic yarn which she is working into a reversible sweater, Melissa’s smoky malabrigo Citron (so fabulous), and my boot socks for Bob! I am so sorry that I didn’t catch anyone else’s projects, but I do know that Heather, Kim, Maggie, and Meagan made some gorgeous scarves for our new friends at the Sandbar Grill.
I can’t wait to see you ll next week!
Hugs, Julz
