Settling In

By Helene | February 4, 2010

Another Wednesday, another fantastic night at SnB.

Our excitement over bright lights and a new menu prompted us to give a fiber type thank you to the Sandbar Grill staff – and this week we got lots of thank yous for our efforts.  An awesome note from Ana for her choker, and a pop in by one of the owners who shared that they selected their scarves by age.  Pumpkin has worn her hat and Kelly is cruising ravelry figuring out what to make with her new stash.  Yep – we know how to share the love!

Our Owl KAL is coming along – as were all the jokes…because no one can make an owl without talking about hooters can they!  These sweaters are knitting up beautifully and its great to see so many in different stages.

Exciting news this week – another polycrafter is born.  Darcy has picked up a crochet hook!  Bigger news of note – she was taught by….wait for it….Cranky Crocheter!!! Darcy’s bag was well underway by the time we packed up.  More fun was added to the mix when Darcy brought Aaron this week.  We really do love a guy who knits!

In resident designer news – if you havent seen it yet, head on over to KnitPicks and check out their interview with Tal.  We even got a mention too!  We told you’d we’d be happy to ride your coat tails Tal!!

In case you missed it on the Rav Boards we’re postponing our Vermont weekend in light of a shared cash crunch – Perhaps we’ll plan a Saturday knitting that weekend instead.

Remember that next week is our Chestnut Bay Fibers Trunk Show.  It should be a great time for everyone.  Seeing that we’re not spending on a whole weekend now, we can console ourselves with a yarn purchase or two.

Keep your needles and hooks moving ladies!
